Wayman – France, Spain, & Beyond Summer 2027 Educational Tour Info

 

Attention students/ young travelers!

SHS veteran French & Spanish teacher, Mr. Wayman, is currently

planning and amazing adventure / student tour to France,

Spain, & Beyond—for June 9 - 18 of 2027.

​

Eligible students:

• Students (9-12, and college level on a case-by-case basis) from all cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds--- who are taking French or Spanish (or both)

• Students looking for a mind-opening cultural experience that will help them grow and understand the world better :) 

• Students with decent grades and EXCELLENT behavior—who are proven to be TRUSTWORTHY (a must—all students will be screened thoroughly)

The  tour is all-inclusive (except lunch)  tour to:  Paris, Provence (southern France), French Riviera, Nice, and Monaco (along the Mediterranean coast), Catalonia and Barcelona (northeast Spain).

​

The tour is a balance of:

• Cultural / linguistic immersion - So students can practice their French / Spanish language skills--& and be immersed in new, step-out-of-your-comfort-zone environments (student may also encounter the Provençal, Italian, Monégasque, and Catalan languages on this tour)

• Learning about history & culture - City / museum guided tours including some of the most famous monuments, museums, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites in France & Spain—including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, select Roman ruins and aqueducts, The Salvador Dalí Home & Theater Museum, Antoni Gaudí’s gothic architecture—including the Sagrada Familia Basilica, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco—and many other historical destinations

• Seeing the natural beauty of Europe - Including the picturesque French countryside, the lavender fields of Provence (from the French high-speed TGV train), the Mediterranean coast &  beaches, and  a crossing through the majestic Pyrenees Mountains that separate France and Spain

• And Fun - Eiffel Tower ascent, high-speed rail trip, Seine River boat cruise, Montjuic cable car ride above the Mediterranean,  exploring (and shopping in) historic city centers, people watching / looking out for famous people /  folks who have passed on in Pere LaChaise Cemetery (and living famous people in Monaco), a visit to a French parfumerie -and participating in Mr. Wayman’s super-fun / engaging daily scavenger hunts and photo / video contests (for prizes–including Amazon Gift Cards)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
